Ayala Batters Long Beach Big Time Wednesday, May 21st , 2025 The Providence Grays tripped up the Long Beach Titans, 12-11. The Grays were led by Jose Ayala, their 25-year-old catcher. Ayala made life miserable for Long Beach pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Jose Ayala hit a two-run home run off Andy Manning in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Kent Skinner in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
