Southern California Advances to SPBC Classic Series Wednesday, October 8th , 2025 Mike Carrigan sparked his Southern California Empires past the pesky Vacaville Steelheads in a closely-contested Circuit Championship Series. Southern California topped Vacaville 7-6 at Empires Stadium to decide the series, 4-2 For his efforts, Carrigan was rewarded with the series MVP trophy for his .435 batting average, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "You never want to leave anything on the field," Carrigan said. "You never want to miss a play of defense you could have made, or give up an extra base you could have gotten, because in a series this tight you never know what you'll need to win."
