ESPC Top Pitcher Award for September to Payno Wednesday, October 1st , 2025 Sam Payno really strutted his stuff in September with 4 wins and no losses and walked off with the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Eastern Semi-Pro Circuit. The Detroit starter was good news for his club, but bad news for the opposition. In 34 innings of work, Payno limited opposing batters to 30 base hits and a .233 batting average. He totaled 40 strikeouts, issued 16 walks and had a 2.91 ERA. This year, Payno has posted a record of 10 wins and 3 losses with a 2.79 ERA.
