Aztecas Show No Mercy in 10-0 Thrashing of Braves Monday, August 18th , 2025 It wasn't easy but the Mexico City Aztecas made it look that way. Starter Andy Colon shut out the Green Bay Braves despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Mexico City Aztecas cruised to victory, 10-0. Colon allowed only 4 hits and rang up 9 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." This year, Colon has registered 6 wins and 12 losses in 23 starts with a 4.85 ERA while registering 162 strikeouts and 40 walks in 159.2 innings. View Boxscore |
