Best WSPC Pitcher Announced Sunday, November 2nd , 2025 Western Semi-Pro Circuit hitters didn't have much of a chance in the 2025 season when the Southern California manager wrote "Matthew Jacobs" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, he held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 17-7 mark and 3.20 ERA in 32 starts, tossed 233.1 innings, fanned 220 and held opposing teams to a .255 average. For his superb season Jacobs was today named the WSPC Pitcher of the Year Award winner. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jason Mortensen of the Vacaville Steelheads finished second in voting, while Eddie Vellucci of the Southern California Empires finished third.
