Astudillo Sensational, 5-for-7
Winnipeg second baseman Roberto Astudillo had a big day at Goldeyes Park against the Southern California Empires. The 26-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-7 and led to the 18-2 Buffaloes triumph over Southern California.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Astudillo said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Roberto Astudillo hit a two-run home run off Tadashi Matsushita in the 1st, singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Franklin Sierra in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
