Everything was working for Marco Munoz at PBC Rookie Development Complex. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The fastball was working.

In an unforgettable performance, the 19-year-old Munoz fanned 16 Peanuts and sparked the 14-0 Houston (R) Mavericks victory over San Francisco (R). He left Peanuts hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it.

"I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Houston (R) manager Caleb Craley. "His location and command were really something."

In addition to collecting 16 strikeouts over 6.2 innings, Munoz allowed 2 hits and 3 walks in a superlative outing.

"I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Munoz said with a smile.

So far this season, Munoz has a 4-3 record, 18 starts, 88.1 innings, 112 strikeouts and a 2.65 ERA.
