Year Ends for Alex Lopez in Miami (R) Thursday, September 28th , 2023 The Sun Sox received bad news this morning. Alex Lopez will miss 4-5 months due to a bone spur in his elbow. He sustained the injury in the Miami (R)-Detroit (R) game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Lopez sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." To date this season, Lopez has registered 18 starts, 5-6 won-lost mark, 4.21 ERA, 107 IP, 107 strikeouts and 37 walks. Opposing teams have hit .254 against him. |
