New Orleans (R) Snaps Carmona Streak at 21 Monday, September 9th , 2024 Harvey Carmona saw his 21-game hitting streak wither and die during the Denver (R) Cutthroats win over New Orleans (R) at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The 19-year-old center fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the New Orleans (R) Voodoo, but his teammates produced enough offense to win the game, 1-0. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Carmona told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 21 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good." This season, Carmona is batting .346 with 7 home runs. He has scored 36 runs and driven in 40. |
