Orozco Hitless, Stopped by Clowns Saturday, September 7th , 2024 The Indianapolis (R) Clowns brought Jon Orozco's hitting spree to a screeching halt in its 4-1 victory over the Toronto (R) Titans at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The Indianapolis (R) mound staff snapped the 17-year-old left fielder's hitting streak at 21 games, as Orozco failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats. "The only reason I cared about the streak was because it meant I was contributing every day," Orozco said later. "I didn't contribute today, and look what happened." This season, Orozco has hit at a .322 clip with 41 RBIs, 12 home runs and 36 runs scored. |
