Hubbard Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Las Vegas (R) Saturday, August 17th , 2024 San Francisco (R) second baseman Erik Hubbard experienced something against the Las Vegas (R) Aces he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Aces pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 20 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Peanuts to a 12-1 victory at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 20-game hitting streak," Hubbard joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." This season, Hubbard has delivered 64 hits in 188 at-bats for a .340 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .412 clip and his totals also include 21 RBIs and 20 runs scored. This year Hubbard has played in 46 games. |
