Season Over for Alexis Tacchinardi in Tampa Bay (R) Sunday, August 11th , 2024 Alexis Tacchinardi of the Thunder just might have to call it quits for the season. The 19-year-old Tampa Bay (R) starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Nashville (R) Bluebirds recently at PBC Rookie Development Complex. Tacchinardi suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Thunder medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 12 months. This year, Tacchinardi has compiled a 2-4 record with a 4.91 ERA in 12 starts. |
