5-for-6 Day for Olmedo Friday, August 9th , 2024 Jose Olmedo did all he could with his bat, but it just wasn't enough for the Chicago (R) Union to pull out a victory. The 18-year-old third baseman rapped out 5 hits in the game, but the Union could not overcome the Indianapolis (R) Clowns. Chicago (R) lost the game, 6-5, at PBC Rookie Development Complex. Jose Olmedo singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, doubled in the 11th and struck out in the 13th.
