Great Stroke: Peters Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, July 9th , 2024 The Twisters downed the Mavericks, 12-8, at The Sun Bowl as Dave Peters exploded for 5 hits. "A couple times, I got a pretty good pitch to hit," the Tulsa second baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "A couple times, I had to work for it. But I think they underestimated my abilities." Dave Peters singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Bryan Antolick in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Tony Benitez in the 9th.
