Houston's Berthiaume Sidelined for Season Saturday, June 22nd , 2024 It took the Houston team doctor a while to realize it, but reliever Chris Berthiaume won't simply play through a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament after he got hurt throwing a pitch in today's Aztecs-Apollos game. At first, it looked like Berthiaume might be back as early as tomorrow, but now the prognosis isn't quite so good; he's expected to miss at least 7 months. So far this year, Berthiaume has 4 saves in 20 relief appearances with a 2-3 record and 3.51 ERA. |
