Houston Out of Playoff Race Monday, August 26th , 2024 The playoff hopes of the Houston Apollos have been extinguished for the year. Today, the team was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the 2024 postseason. "It's weird, yesterday we were all talking about what we needed to do to make it to the Amateur Circut Cup and now we're just counting down the days until the offseason, said Apollos starting pitcher Daniel Helton. The Apollos have missed the playoffs 20 times in their 22 years as a Amateur Baseball Circuit franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 11th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2013. |
