Season May Be Over for Oilers Walker Thursday, August 22nd , 2024 When Oil City reliever Mike Walker was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Oilers-Farmers game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Walker had sustained a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and will be out for about 9-10 months. To this point in the season, Walker has rung up 6 saves in 16 relief appearances. He has also crafted a 4.05 ERA, 1 win and 3 losses and 27 strikeouts in 20 innings. |
