D.C. Potomacs Win SPBC Classic Series Sunday, October 20th , 2024 The D.C. faithful were cheering in the streets, and Green Bay fans wiping away the tears, after the Potomacs won the SPBC Classic Series at Braves Ballpark today. The Potomacs clinched it by knocking off the Braves 7-4 to take their 2nd Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit crown. D.C. took the series 4-2. "This club never gave up all year long," D.C. manager Evan Williams told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did." On the way to the SPBC Classic Series title, D.C. compiled a 85-78 won-loss record and finished third in the Eastern Semi-Pro Circuit. "We just didn't play well enough to win," Braves manager Keith Owens said. "We just didn't make the big plays like they did." View Boxscore |
