Matsushita Spectacular in 3-0 Win Sunday, September 8th , 2024 The Saskatoon Moose were almost helpless in their 3-0 loss to the Southern California Empires and hurler Tadashi Matsushita. Matsushita kept the Moose confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Matsushita," Saskatoon manager Anthony Whitaker said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 34-year-old left-hander had 1 walk and 8 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Matsushita said.
