6-for-6 Day for Bevly Wednesday, September 4th , 2024 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Carl Bevly -- a 6-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Ballpark of Vacaville and paced the 14-5 Steelheads win over the Saskatoon Moose. After his dynamite batting performance, the Vacaville first baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Carl Bevly singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
