WC's Premier Player: Lopez of San Francisco Tuesday, November 12th , 2024 What a way to finish off the year -- being honored with the 2024 Most Valuable Position Player Award in the Western Circuit. It had already been a very special season for San Francisco's Luis Lopez, but today's announcement really put the icing on his cake. All season long Luis Lopez gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .321 as he collected 113 hits, 16 doubles, 2 triples, 22 home runs and 59 RBIs. He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 24. Eric Linkletter of the El Paso Diablos finished second in voting, while Victor Ocejo of the St. Louis Lions finished third.
