Linkletter Sweeps Up Rookie of the Year Award Friday, November 8th , 2024 It was a lot of headlines and highlights for El Paso third baseman Eric Linkletter in his first season in the Western Circuit. It was announced today that the 24-year-old was voted the top newcomer and had earned the Rookie of the Year Award. Eric Linkletter collected 93 hits, 17 home runs, 52 RBIs, 17 walks and 45 runs scored. He hit .362 and had a .399 on-base percentage. He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 24. Gui-fan Xiong of the Las Vegas Aces finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Conor Kirk of the San Francisco Peanuts finished third with 1 first place vote.
