Bad News for DeJesus and Denver Thursday, October 31st , 2024 Christian DeJesus was taking it slow and easy nursing an elbow sprain back to good health, when he suffered a setback. According to a Denver team official, "Christian was making excellent progress and it appeared he would return to the squad ahead of schedule. But then he reinjured it in a light workout." Club doctors now say the 27-year-old Cutthroats second baseman will be out at least another 1-2 weeks. DeJesus has played in 408 games with a .297 lifetime batting average. Among his 462 hits are 66 doubles, 13 triples and 32 home runs. He has also scored 213 runs and driven in 177 runs. |
