Cole Goes 5-for-7 Against Arizona Friday, September 27th , 2024 It was a good day at Inferno Field. The El Paso Diablos whipped the Arizona Suns, 11-10, and shortstop Skylar Cole showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-7 at the plate. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," Cole told BNN reporters after the game. Diablos manager Joe Peters told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 25-year-old "focused and patient." "It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Skylar hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." Skylar Cole doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 9th, struck out in the 10th and singled in the 13th.
