Bad News for New Orleans, Mercado Injured Tuesday, September 24th , 2024 The season is ending on a bad note for Manny Mercado, starting pitcher for the New Orleans Voodoo. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Mercado was hurt against the Minnesota Loons while throwing a pitch. He suffered shoulder inflammation and will be out for at least 6 months. This season, Mercado has fanned 73 in 94.2 innings and collected a 4-3 record with a 5.13 ERA. |
