Reynolds Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Monday, September 9th , 2024 Today was a special one for Jesse Reynolds of the Tampa Bay Thunder as he slammed three home runs in the 9-2 Thunder win over the Miami Sun Sox. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Tampa Bay left fielder collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 6, and scored 3 runs in the contest at The Thunder Bowl. Jesse Reynolds hit a solo-shot off Jason Mortensen in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jason Mortensen in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Tyler Anson in the 8th. Currently Reynolds is batting .304 with 44 home runs and 76 RBIs. |
