Toronto Shuts Out Indianapolis, 4-0 Tuesday, July 23rd , 2024 In a remarkable performance, Toronto Titans starter Mark Black beat the Indianapolis Clowns, 4-0, in an impressive 6-hit shutout. "My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this." The Titans hurler finished with 11 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball. "It was a rough one for my guys," Indianapolis manager Matt Mays said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was." This season, Black has a 8-0 mark in 9 starts with a 2.33 ERA. He has given up 48 hits in 69.2 innings, struck out 83 and issued 24 walks.
