Keystones Dealt 5-3 Loss by Tampa Bay

The Thunder Bowl was the site of a competitive game between the Philadelphia Keystones and Tampa Bay Thunder.
Steve Gallien had a strong outing for the Tampa Bay Thunder against the Philadelphia Keystones at The Thunder Bowl. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Philadelphia, with the loss, is still a stout 8-1.
Bob Gibbons had a big grand slam home run for the Thunder in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Tampa Bay leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a slider from Brandon Beech, who finished 3rd in the EC in innings pitched with 169.1 in 2022, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Thunder on top, 5-0.
"Steve gets on the mound and he competes and that's what you want," said Tampa Bay manager Ray McKay.
