It was a sensational day at the plate for Enrique Diaz as he led the charge to a nifty 9-8 win over the Apollos. The Dallas left fielder was pure misery for the Houston pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"Diaz put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Josh Glaser, manager for the Apollos, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Enrique Diaz singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Steven Weathers in the 9th, singled in the 11th and doubled in the 13th.

So far this season, Diaz has hit .337 with 8 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 27 times.
