The Detroit Motors took Boston pitcher Mario Llano's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Motor Yard. The final score had Detroit getting past the Shamrocks, 3-2. Llano went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 5. Jaiden LeFlore earned the save for Detroit, his 2nd of the year. The win puts Detroit at 5-2.

The Motors got a big at-bat from designated hitter Bill Sposito. For the game, Sposito went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Detroit a 3-2 lead.

"This was a tough loss," said Boston manager Dave Caswell. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
