In a tight tilt between the El Paso Diablos and the Arizona Suns, Jian-gun Fou was the deciding factor. The El Paso right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Fou got the win, improving to 9-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Ken Trombley was credited with the save, his 8th in 9 tries.

The Diablos got a big at-bat from shortstop Skylar Cole. For the game, Cole went 2 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 26th double of the season gave El Paso a 2-1 lead.

Fou called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
