In a low-scoring affair between the Indianapolis Clowns and the Miami Sun Sox, pitcher Fernando Palomino was the difference between victory and defeat. The Indianapolis right-hander earned kudos in the 3-2 Clowns win. The victory gives the Clowns a record of 44-38.

The Clowns got a clutch hit from right fielder Carlos Cruz. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Clowns.

Palomino called getting the win a "good ending to a long game."
