Denver and San Francisco duked it out and the Cutthroats came out victorious.

Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Tom Higgins, the San Francisco Peanuts lost to the Denver Cutthroats, 7-4. Higgins slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win for the Cutthroats lifted their record to 43-39.

Mario Sanchez had a big 2-run double for the Cutthroats in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Denver leading 5-3 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from Ivan Palafox and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cutthroats ahead, 7-3.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sanchez told the Denver News.
