Starting pitcher Cesar Mijares fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Miami Sun Sox stymie the Boston Shamrocks, 3-2. Boston has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Jose Cruz was the walk-off hero for Miami. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sun Sox catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
