Zwiers Helps Detroit Cruise to 10-1 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 30-year old center fielder Huibert Zwiers, the Detroit Motors defeated the Nashville Bluebirds, 10-1. Luke Laurent got credit for the win, improving to 6-7. He allowed 1 run on 8 hits in 8.2 innings. Detroit has now won 4 in a row.

With Detroit leading 7-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Zwiers batted against Nashville pitcher Dusty Lang. Zwiers hit a fastball to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 23rd home run of the season put the Motors on top, 10-1.

"We're producers not directors," said Zwiers. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
