A good performance from left fielder Tony Ames helped the New Orleans Voodoo defeat the Los Angeles Knights, 7-3. Ames slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Voodoo. Corey Spink, who is tied for 4th in the WC in holds with 3, was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-5. The losing pitcher was Brian Hellerich. Yes, it was a win for New Orleans; but their 18-48 mark is nothing to crow about.

New Orleans needed the clutch hitting of Bruce Bogan to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Voodoo on top, 4-3. For the game, Bogan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
