Motors Get Dramatic 8-7 Win
The Detroit Motors spoiled a good performance by Indianapolis shortstop Alex Flores, bumping off Indianapolis, 8-7, at The Motor Yard. Flores was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. The Motors improved their record to 35-25 by beating Indianapolis.

The Motors were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 28-year old right fielder Jim Madore landed a big blow. He turned a 1-0 cutter from John Hawkins into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the The Motor Yard denizens into a frenzy and sent the Motors home with a thrilling 8-7 win.

"Our fans made themselves heard," said Madore.
