Union Deal Gothams 4-3 Loss
|
Chicago Union starter Jon Naugle pitched a strong game against the New York City Gothams at Damar Park, leading the Union to victory, 4-3. Jason McNeal earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 4-0. Josh Kingsbury was credited with the save for Chicago, his 3rd of the season.
Robert DeRosa delivered a big hit for Chicago. The catcher drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Union ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"Jon was in attack mode," said Chicago manager Ron Chiu.
With the win, Chicago upped its record to 22-21.
