Loons Rally Late to Nip Voodoo

The Minnesota-New Orleans game took longer to complete because of the rain. But it was worth it for the home team in the end.
Minnesota beat New Orleans on the strength of starting pitcher Shawn Holliday's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The win was credited to 30-year old right-handed pitcher Anthony Anderson in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Stuart Meiser took the loss.
In the bottom of the ninth, Tim Moehrke knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a run-scoring single off New Orleans pitcher Victor Ford.
"It was bedlam at the end," Moehrke said.
The Loons, at 15-24, sit in 11th place in the Western Circuit.
