Zwiers, Motors Too Much for Clowns
The Detroit Motors beat the Indianapolis Clowns, 7-3, at The Motor Yard. Detroit center fielder Huibert Zwiers led the way. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Detroit now has a record of 33-24 with the win.

Bill Sposito had a big 2-run double for the Motors in the bottom of the first inning. With Detroit leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from Bernie Loyola and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Motors ahead, 3-0.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said Indianapolis skipper Matt Mays.
