Hughes, Peanuts Plunder Knights
The San Francisco Peanuts clobbered the Los Angeles Knights, 15-2, at Camelot. Leading the onslaught was Elijah Hughes. He went 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6 for San Francisco. John O'Connor earned the win. Edwin Gomez took the loss for Los Angeles. The win puts San Francisco at 31-23 this season.

With San Francisco leading 4-0 in the top of the fifth, Hughes came up to bat against Los Angeles pitcher Edwin Gomez. Hughes hit a fastball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 15th home run of the season put the Peanuts on top, 8-0.

"Not my idea of a good time," Los Angeles manager Steve Finley said, when asked afterward about the game.
