The Tampa Bay Thunder weathered an outstanding game by Indianapolis shortstop Alex Flores to topple the Clowns, 7-4. Flores went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to 26-year old left-handed pitcher Jim Rodriguez in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Taek-hyun Yoon took the loss. Tampa Bay has now won 5 games in a row.

Travis McCombs hit a 3-run home run off Taek-hyun Yoon in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Thunder ahead, 7-4. In addition to the homer, McCombs had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"You look inside of the game, it's just quality approach after quality approach," said Thunder manager Ray McKay.
