Jackson goes 4-for-4, Leads Bluebirds to Win
|
The Nashville Bluebirds downed the Miami Sun Sox, 7-5, at Sun Sox Stadium. The Bluebirds were led by Brian Jackson. Jackson was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The winner in relief was Nick Wilson. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 2-2. The win gives the Bluebirds a record of 15-31.
Had Alex Carrasco not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Carrasco hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Bluebirds.
"We didn't play well enough to win," Miami skipper Dylan Walls said.
