The Indianapolis Clowns and Toronto Titans played an exciting game.
In a tight tilt between the Indianapolis Clowns and the Toronto Titans, Bernie Loyola was the deciding factor. The Indianapolis right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Loyola, now 6-3, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Matthew Browning was credited with the save for Indianapolis, his 5th of the season.
The Clowns got a big at-bat from designated hitter Gerardo Carvajal. For the game, Carvajal was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Indianapolis a 3-0 lead.
"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Clowns manager Matt Mays.
The defeat makes Toronto 24-9.
