St. Louis Lions starter Luke Whalen turned in a workmanlike performance against the Las Vegas Aces at The Lions Hearth. St. Louis now has a record of 18-10 with the win.

Chris Khaled had a big 2-run home run for the Lions in the bottom of the third inning. With St. Louis leading 3-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Troy Degenstein, who is tied for 9th in the WC in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Lions on top, 5-0.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Whalen.
