The Minnesota Loons dumped the San Francisco Peanuts, 7-6, in large part due to catcher Danny Coffer. On the day, Coffer was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Loons. Earning his 3rd save for Minnesota was Anthony Anderson. Even with the win, the Loons have a dismal 9-17 record.

Minnesota won the game in part because of Mike Martinez. The third baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Loons ahead, 7-6. For the game, Martinez had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Coffer.
