Diablos Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
The El Paso Diablos knocked off the Minnesota Loons, 5-3, in Western Circuit action at Inferno Field. El Paso pitcher and Port St. Lucie, Florida, native Jason Roether had an outstanding performance. Roether, now 5-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. El Paso is now 15-6, while Minnesota is 7-14.

In the bottom of the sixth, Jeremy Barnes delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the El Paso third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Diablos in front, 5-3.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Barnes.
