Loons 5-3 Winners Over Las Vegas
|
Minnesota Loons right-hander Shawn Holliday pitched a good game against the Las Vegas Aces at The Asylum at Loons Ballpark, leading his team to victory, 5-3. Holliday, now 2-0, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Anthony Anderson picked up the save, his 1st.
Shortstop Rob Hennessy made an impact for Minnesota, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Troy Degenstein in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Hennessy went 1-2 with a double and was hit by a pitch.
"I just tried to stick to my strengths," said Holliday.
The Loons raised their record to 7-13.
