Loss to Peanuts Extends New Orleans Losing Streak
|
Garibaldi's Grounds was the site of an exciting ballgame between the San Francisco Peanuts and New Orleans Voodoo.
The San Francisco Peanuts picked up a win at Garibaldi's Grounds, dropping the New Orleans Voodoo, 4-3. Kevin Keeth, who finished 4th in the EC in innings pitched with 167.1 in 2020, was the difference-maker. Keeth picked up the win for San Francisco, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1.
Conor Kirk had a big 2-run home run for the Peanuts in the bottom of the third inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Cortez Crus, who led the EC in ERA with 2.50 in 2015, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Peanuts on top, 3-0.
"Kevin is good at sticking to his strengths," said San Francisco manager Keven Berman.
New Orleans, at 1-16, has had a dismal start to the season.
