The Indianapolis Clowns managed to get by the Boston Shamrocks, 4-3, at Boston Commons. Indianapolis pitcher Javier Mata set himself apart with his performance. Indianapolis, now 9-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Sebastian Becton hit a 2-run triple off Nick Jones in the top of the eighth, which put the Clowns in front, 4-2. In addition to the triple, Becton had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

Afterward, Clowns manager Matt Mays said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
